Privacy Policy

Introduction

Planners ("we", "our", or "us") operates a white-label wedding planning platform. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to planners who create workspaces and to the couples who access those workspaces.

By using Planners you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Information we collect

We collect information in three ways:

Information you provide directly. When you create a workspace you give us your name, email address, company name, and a password. Couples invited to a portal provide their name and email. You may also provide billing information, which is processed by our payment partner and never stored on our servers.

Information generated by your use of the service. We log actions you take inside Planners (creating tasks, uploading documents, sending messages) along with timestamps and the device information associated with each request.

Information from third parties. If you sign in using a third-party identity provider, we receive the profile information that provider makes available (typically your name and email).

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and maintain your account and workspace
  • Deliver the core service (tasks, timelines, documents, messaging)
  • Send transactional emails (welcome, password reset, notifications)
  • Process billing and prevent fraud
  • Diagnose technical problems and improve reliability
  • Respond to support requests and contact form submissions
  • Comply with applicable laws and enforce our Terms of Service

We do not sell your personal information to third parties and we do not use it to serve targeted advertising.

Information sharing

We share information only in the following circumstances:

Service providers. We work with vendors who help us operate the platform: email delivery (Resend), cloud hosting, and payment processing. These vendors have access only to the information needed for their specific function and are contractually bound to protect it.

Within your workspace. Information you or your couples add to a workspace is visible to all members of that workspace. Planners who create a workspace are responsible for the data within it.

Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect our rights, or protect the safety of our users.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored on servers located in the United States. We use industry-standard measures to protect it, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews.

No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account you may request deletion of your personal information by emailing privacy@planners.app.

Your rights

Depending on your location you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. You may also have the right to restrict or object to certain processing activities, or to receive a copy of your data in a portable format.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@planners.app. We will respond within 30 days.

Cookies

We use session cookies to keep you logged in. These are strictly necessary for the service to function and cannot be disabled. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

Children's privacy

Planners is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact us at privacy@planners.app and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you by email or by posting a notice in the application before the change takes effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
